Warriors Drop Game, Series to Highclimbers on the Road

Falling behind in an early hole it couldn’t climb out of, and struggling mightily at the plate, the Rochester baseball team dropped its second contest with Shelton this year, 4-1, to drop the season series to the Highclimbers 2-1 this season.

Kyle Wilson got the start on the mound for the Warriors, and went 2 ⅓ innings, allowing just two hits with three walks, three strikeouts, and two earned runs, and Hyde Parrish pitched 3 ⅔ innings of relief with just one hit, three strikeouts, and one walk.

But that would be enough to win it for the Highclimbers, with the Warriors recording just three hits. Tony Groninger had two of them, going 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and an RBI, and Landon Hawes recording the only other hit, going 1 for 4.

The Warriors will look to right the ship against W.F. West on Tuesday at home.
