Mossyrock softball erupted for 10 runs in the first inning and the Vikings never looked back in a 15-0 victory in three innings at home Friday during 1B Columbia Valley League play.
Hailey Brooks led the offensive assault, going 2 for 2 with a triple, a double and a walk. Lois Stone was 2 for 2 with a walk as the Vikings finished with eight total hits.
Erin Cournyer tossed all three innings, striking out three and allowing just one hit and one walk.
Mossyrock improves to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in league. The Vikings next host Wishkah in a home doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. on Monday.
