The Mossyrock girls basketball team was back in action after nearly two weeks off on Friday in South Bend, but the Vikings couldn’t keep up with the Ravens in a 52-41 loss.
“I knew we would be a little rusty,” Mossyrock coach Nick Rashoff said. “And we were at times.”
The Vikings were in foul trouble early, and the Ravens were able to use that to their advantage while building a lead in the third quarter.
By the end of the night, the Vikings had 27 fouls called on them.
“We have to learn to play through some things when they don’t go our way,” Rashoff said. “The girls did good things and I’m proud of them. It was nice to get back to games.”
Maci Rashoff led Mossyrock with 17 points, and Adyson Barrows scored six. Kendall Cournyer and Chesney Schultz both scored six, and Taylor Schwartz tallied three.
The Vikings (5-4) will be on the road again on Wednesday at Onalaska.
