U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Skamania, has announced that she will hold two town halls in her district later this month, including one at Centralia College April 22.

The town hall will begin at 5 p.m. at the TransAlta Commons.

Gluesenkamp Perez will use the opportunity to discuss her legislative priorities before fielding questions from constituents.

Bags and backpacks will not be allowed in the event. Exceptions can be made for medical necessities. Attendees will need to check in with event staff upon arrival.

The Lewis County event marks Gluesenkamp Perez’s 14th constituent town hall and her third town hall during the current congressional session.

“Your priorities inform everything I work on in Congress, and town halls are part of my commitment to remain as present and available as possible,” Gluesenkamp Perez stated in a news release. “It’s important for me to show up everywhere and hear from the biggest swath of my community that I can. Engaging with each other is such a crucial part of patriotism and making democracy work for Southwest Washington.”

A second town hall will be held in Clark County. That event will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Luepke Community Center’s Community Room, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd., Vancouver.

The representative for Washington's Third Congressional District most recently won reelection in the fall of 2024 against second-time Republican opponent Joe Kent. Gluesenkamp Perez made headlines when first elected in 2022, flipping a congressional seat dominated by Republicans for more than a decade. She has continued to run on a platform that mixes core ideals from both parties, including openly supporting abortion rights while also advocating for securing the Southern border and protecting gun ownership rights.

Gluesenkamp Perez recently broke with her party to be one of four Democrats in the House of Representatives to vote to pass the SAVE Act, a bill that, if enacted, would require proof of citizenship for voter registration.

Constituents who are unable to attend the town hall but would like to share their priorities with the representative can do so over the phone by calling 360-695-6292 or online at https://gluesenkampperez.house.gov/contact
