On Monday, less than 24 hours before the start of the Southwest Washington Fair, volunteers in the horse arena found themselves in a predicament.
“4H horse department is in a bind,” Wade Samuelson wrote on Facebook. “Our water truck died and we need a single-axle water truck immediately for use through Sunday for watering the arena.”
Fair officials and other Lewis County residents quickly shared the post and the plea spread online.
Tyler Rental answered the call.
The Chehalis-based business "saved the day," said Lewis County Commissioner Sean Swope.
"They've agreed to supply their water truck for the week," Swope said in a statement released by the county. "We're grateful for their investment."
The Southwest Washington Fair runs today through Sunday, Aug. 21.
