For the second summer in a row, the Twin Cities Babe Ruth League is hosting a Home Run Derby for kids aged 10 to 16.
The Derby will take place at Stan Hedwall Babe Ruth Field in Chehalis on June 21. It is open to the public and all skill levels, and there are no bat restrictions. Gates open at 11 a.m., and the derby begins at noon.
The winners will receive a $100 gift card to Willie’s Sports Shop in Centralia.
For kids aged 10 and 11, the fences will be set at 110 feet, and for kids ages 12 and 13, it will be at 135. It will be pushed back to 180 for kids aged 14 and 15, and it will be at 210 for kids 16 years old.
To RSVP players, email twincitiesbaberuth@yahoo.com by June 15th. The cost per player with an RSVP is $10 per player, and the cost per player without an RSVP is $20. All admissions will be paid at the gate.
Food and other activities will also be held.
