Tumwater Rolls Past Shelton

Tumwater didn’t surrender enough points at Shelton to drop a set, let alone the match, dominating the Highclimbers 25-4, 25-6, 25-13.

The Thunderbirds nearly outscored their hosts from the service line alone, dropping 20 aces in. Bella Burney led the serving charge with nine aces, while Maddie Hurley had five and Bri Zavala and Brooklynn Hayes both had a pair.

At the net, Burney also had a team-high 11 kills. Hurley racked up four, as did Whitney Van Gorkom. Burney and Hayes led the T-Birds with seven digs apiece, and Emily Robello dished out 27 assists.

Tumwater (3-3, 2-0 2A EvCo) will head to Aberdeen next Tuesday.
