Ditching the field events for just one meet, Centralia Tigers Stadium played host to Napavine and Adna in a track-event-only Spring Break Runner’s Classic Wednesday night, and the 2B squads showed their stuff in some solid performances, as well as the hometown 2A Tigers.

Lucy Nowicki and Devin Harrison headlined the Centralia runners, with Nowicki winning two events, running the 100 meters in 14.6 seconds and the 400 meters in 1:10.54, and placing second in the 200 meters with a 29.32 time. Harrison won the two individual events he ran in, cruising to a 1600-meter win with a 4:55.37 time, and running alone to finish first in the 3200 with a time of 10:41.69.

Aiden Cox also grabbed a win for the Tigers, running the 800 meters in a personal best time of 2:24.39. Keria Jones picked up two individual wins in the 1600m (6:23.87) and 3200m (14:42.61) to round out Centralia’s winners on the day.

Adna was led by Faith Wellander’s performance in the hurdle events and the 200 meters, with the senior winning each. She ran the 100-meter hurdles in 17.93, the 300-meter hurdles in a season-best 50.88, and the 200 meters in a season-best 29.32.

On the boys side, the Pirates’ Gevorg Ghazaryan was the lone winner of the day in the 400, with a time of 59.55, a personal best. The Pirates’ 4x400-meter relay team of Tristan Ridley, Jordan Stout, Lane Johnson, and Jacob Stajduhar also picked up a team win with a time of 4:01.38, besting Centralia’s squad by 20 seconds.

Napavine, meanwhile, was led again by Lucas Dahl’s strong performance in sprints, where the senior swept his events again, running a 11.45 in the 100m, a 23.08 in the 200m, and winning the 4x100-meter relay with Peyton League, Colin Shields, and Mario Lara in 47.18.

Lara also picked up two additional wins for Napavine in the hurdle events, running by himself. He ran a personal best 49.46 in the 300-meter hurdles, and a 19.4 in the 110-meter hurdles.
