Marissa La Praim and Zoe Fields combined for four hits and four runs scored in helping the Thunderbirds post a 7-5 home triumph over Seattle Christian on Monday night at home.

They scored five total runs in the first two innings and added two more in the bottom of the fourth that proved to be the difference. La Praim jumpstarted the three-run second with an RBI double and Fields crossed home in the fourth.

Sarah Stevens went the distance in the circle and danced around four earned runs plus four walks to snare the win. She recorded 10 strikeouts on 142 pitches. Infielder Megan Barnett put Tumwater (1-1) ahead 2-0 with a bases-clearing double in the first.

Jaime Haase finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. The T-Birds will hit the road on Friday night to take on Montesano.
