Toledo Man Killed In Head-On Collision With Semi Truck on Route 505 Monday

A 44-year-old Toledo Man died on the scene of a head-on collision with a semi-truck on northbound state Route 505 just north of Toledo on Monday. 

The victim’s name will not be released by law enforcement until his family is notified of his death, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP). 

The victim was reportedly driving a silver 2003 Volkswagen GTI northbound on Route 505 when, near milepost 5, the vehicle crossed the double yellow lines and struck a semi-truck driven by a 58-year-old Lakewood man head-on, according to WSP. 



Law enforcement were notified at 9:10 a.m. on Monday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, but the other driver was uninjured. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation. It is unknown at this time whether drugs or alcohol were involved. 

The victim was not wearing a seatbelt, according to WSP.
