Toledo dispatches Toutle Lake to get back in win column

The Toledo softball team bounced back from a loss on Monday, defeating Toutle Lake 12-2 in six innings.

Toledo led 4-2 going into the bottom of the fifth, but the Riverhawks broke the game open by scoring seven runs in that frame. In the bottom of the sixth, Ellie Seely brought home Zaya Norberg with a run-rule walk-off RBI single.

Norberg finished with three extra-base hits, including a pair of triples, drove in three runs, and scored four runs, while Seely added three hits and drove in two runs. 

Xtyn Norberg also had three hits, including a double, and drove in a run, and Taysia Miller went 2 for 4, drove in a run, and scored two more.

Peyton Holter was rock-solid in the circle, allowing just two hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out six in a complete-game effort.

Toledo (12-4, 5-2 C2BL) will host Ocosta on Wednesday before heading to Onalaska on Thursday for its regular-season finale.
