The Toledo girls basketball team rose to the occasion on the big stage Friday in Portland, beating Morton-White Pass 47-39 at the Moda Center.

Ryah Stanley scored 16 points to lead the Riverhawks, while Kailea Lairson had 14 points, seven rebounds and six steals.

The Riverhawks trailed 14-8 after a quarter play but rallied in the second to trim the gap to just one by halftime. Toledo then went on a 14-7 run in the third to take the lead, and held on to win the low-scoring matchup.

Natalia Armstrong led Morton-White Pass with 14 points, and McKenzee Mays had 12.

Toledo is set to host Lake Quinault next Wednesday, and MWP will face Hoquiam at Raymond on Thursday.
