Titans Sweep Twin Bill With RSB

Heading out to take on Pacific County rival Raymond-South Bend, the Pe Ell-Willapa Valley baseball team won both of its games Tuesday afternoon in South Bend, 18-2 and 12-1. 

The Titans got off to a bit of a slow start in the first game, but poured in 17 runs in the fifth and sixth innings to walk away 18-2 winners on 10 hits with just one error. 

Wil Clements starred, going 4 for 4 with three runs scored with five RBIs and a home run mash. Garrett Keeton went 1 for 4 with two runs scored and three RBIs. 

On the hill, Keeton threw six innings, allowing two runs, with just one earned, on three hits and two walks with 10 punchouts. 

In Game 2, a 12-1 win, Kail Homan had the hot bat, going 2 for 2 with two runs scored, four RBIs, and a walk. Brayden Ruddell added a 2 for 4 line with a run scored and three RBIs, and Derek Fluke went 2 for 4 with a run scored and two RBIs. 

Riley Pearson got the start on the bump in the second game and allowed just one earned run on two hits and three walks with eight strikeouts, rounding out a strong pitching day for the Titans. 

PWV will play Northwest Christian of Lacey Thursday back home in Pe Ell for its next game.
