Titans Blast Vikings Behind Keeton’s No-No

With just two slip ups over five innings, Pe Ell-Willapa Valley baseball’s Garrett Keeton was nearly flawless on the mound in a 12-0 win over Mossyrock on the road Wednesday.

Keeton fanned 10 batters, walked just one, and hit one batter while allowing no hits in a dominant performance, and went 2 for 2 with two runs and four RBIs to top off a great day on the road for the Titans.

Hudson Barnum also starred, scoring three runs and going 1 for 4 with two RBIs.

The Vikings, meanwhile, were plagued by errors and a tough day at the plate. To go along with no hits, Mossyrock committed four errors, with just four runs earned against pitchers Easton Kolb and Jake Comer.

Kolb got the start and went three innings, allowing four hits, three earned runs, and walking four batters, while Comer came in relief to allow two hits, one earned run, and two walks over the last two innings with a strikeout.

Comer drew the Vikings lone walk, and Marshall Brockway was hit by a pitch to round out the Viking baserunners.

PWV will look to keep it rolling against Naselle Thursday at home while the Vikings look to rebound against Lake Quinault on Friday.
