The Centralia boys basketball team picked up its second win of the season Thursday, defeating Overlake 52-44 on the first day of the Trojan Storm at Meridian High School.

The Owls poured in 21 points in the first quarter, but the Tigers held them to single digits in each of the final three quarters. Even so, Overlake came back to tie the game in a low-scoring third quarter, before Centralia ended things on a 16-8 run.

Cohen Ballard led the Tigers (2-6, 1-2 EvCo) with 17 points and 10 boards, while Landen Jenkins had 14 and six. Aidan Haines scored nine points, and also dished out five assists.

The Tigers will face Squalicum on Friday.
