In yet another shutout, the Napavine football team defeated Rainier on its first road trip in Thurston County, 63-0.

The Tigers (3-0) have yet to allow a score through three weeks.

Napavine allowed just 12 yards of total offense, and countered with 494 yards of total offense, led again by Ashton Demarest’s strong display at quarterback. The junior threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns, with two going to Karsen Denault, and ran for 83 more yards and another score.

Cael Stanley added two more touchdowns on the ground for the Tigers, who take on Pe Ell-Willapa Valley next Friday while the Mountaineers (0-3) look to pick up their first win against Morton-White Pass on the road.
