Tigers Lose in Vancouver

The Centralia boys soccer team conceded two early goals Saturday, and that ended up being too great a hole to come out of in a 3-1 non-league loss to King’s Way Christian.

The Knights got onto the scoresheet twice to start the match, so when Centralia finally got the ball in the net — on a free kick from Angel Rojas in the 29th minute — it only halved the deficit to one.

KWC got its lead back up to two in the second half, outshooting the Tigers 14-6 on the afternoon. Centralia keeper Carlos Hernandez came away with 11 saves.

Centralia will be back in action Tuesday, at Shelton.
