Tigers Finish Strong in Non-League Sweep of Bulldogs

Centralia girls tennis was on fire from start to finish, delivering a 6-0 sweeping defeat to Stevenson on Friday in non-league play at home.

In No. 1 singles, Centralia’s Evie Rooklidge defeated Hazel Langer, 6-2, 6-1. In No. 2 singles, Olivia Wiley defeated Kaelynn Schult, 6-4, 6-2, after being down 1-4. In No. 3 singles, Norah Sas defeated Kahmara Gunderson, 6-0, 6-0.

On the doubles side, Centralia’s No. 1 duo, Liza Hopkins and Maddie Corwin came away with 6-1, 6-1. In No. 2 doubles, Maya O’Dell and Serina Stehr earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory. And in No. 3 doubles, Olivia Norris and Olivia Wiley finished with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.



No. 1 doubles duo Hopkins and Corwin and No. 2 doubles duo O’Dell and Stehr are both undefeated on the season.

Centralia (4-1) next heads to W.F. West for a rivalry match at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
