Black Hills scored both its goals in the second half and Centralia’s one-goal answer in the second half was not enough as the Tigers took a 2-1 loss to the visiting Wolves in 2A Evergreen Conference play Thursday.

Down 2-0, Hannah Robbins scored on a corner kick from Sarah Robbins in the 75th minute to bring the Tigers within one, but Centralia couldn’t muster another goal in what little time was left.

Despite the loss, Centralia coach Henry Gallanger is pleased with how his team has been improving each match after a rough start to the season.

“We played really good in the second half,” Gallanger said. “The girls did a good job adjusting on the fly. Overall, all the girls played and contributed.” We’re definitely taking strides in the right direction. There’s always growth.”

Centralia (1-9, 1-7 league) gets back into action when it travels to Shelton on Tuesday for another league match.
