In what head coach Josh Fay called not the prettiest of contests, the Napavine softball team bounced back regardless for a 12-8 win over La Center on the road Wednesday afternoon.
Hayden Kaut had a strong day at the plate, finishing a perfect 5 for 5 and just a triple shy of the cycle with a pair of doubles and a home run.
Hannah Fay went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI, and Cailyn Milton went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Fay also threw a complete game with eight walks and eight strikeouts, letting in eight runs but with just six earned.
“We just continue to give up some extra outs,” Josh Fay said. “Which makes things hard for us.”
The Tigers take on Elma next on Friday.
