Thurston County Launching Survey for ARPA Funds Allocation Input

Posted

Thurston County officials have opened an online survey to gather public input from residents on which project areas they would like to see funded with $10 million of the American Rescue Plant Act (ARPA) funds that the county has received.

The survey can be found online at https://thurston.abalancingact.com/ARPASurvey.

Residents taking the survey have a variety of project areas to choose from, including broadband infrastructure, small business grants, mental health services and more. The survey will close on Friday, Oct. 28, at 3:30 p.m.

In total, Thurston County received $56.4 million in ARPA funds and it has already started to fund some projects with that money, but county commissioners are now asking for community input to take into consideration when deciding which projects receive the remaining ARPA funds.
