Tumwater senior Makayla McGilvrey notched a brace and the Thunderbirds breezed past visiting Rochester for a 9-0 shutout Tuesday in a 2A Evergreen Conference game.
Also scoring goals for the Thunderbirds were Bailey Colard, Cierra Larson, Austin Laposky, Isabella Lund, Mia Cuoio and Eden Voung.
The first-place Thunderbirds improve to 12-1 overall and 10-0 in league. They travel to Centralia on Thursday for a 7 p.m. matchup, then close out the regular season at Shelton on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
Rochester (1-12, 1-9 league) hosts Shelton on Thursday, then heads to Centralia for its regular-season finale on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
