Thunderbirds sweep Sentinels to improve to 2-0

The Tumwater volleyball team improved to 2-0 on Monday, as the Thunderbirds swept Steilacoom 25-10, 25-5, 26-24.

Lalie Betschart led the T-Birds (1-0) with 14 digs, and five aces, while Tove Hugus tallied 10 kills, a pair of digs, and an ace.

McKayla Clary recorded a dozen digs and seven kills, while Maille Marty dished out six assists and connected on three aces. Bailey Broeker led the team in assists with 11 and had five digs and a pair of kills.

Tumwater is back home on Tuesday for its opener, as Fife will come to town.
