After nearly a week off, the Tumwater girls basketball team got back to the grindstone and back into the win column, beating Cedar Park Christian 60-42 on Wednesday.

Tumwater’s duo of Regan Brewer and Rhylee Beebe led the way in the scoring column, with the former putting in 22 points and the latter adding 19. Together, they nearly outscored the Eagles by themselves, with the rest of the T-Bird lineup pitching in field goals and free throws here and there to make the winning total.

Brewer rounded out her line with seven steals, six assists, and four rebounds. Cierra Larson led the way with 11 rebounds, and Beebe and Kendall Gjurasic both had four steals.

The T-Birds turned a close, four-point game at halftime into an easier ride in the second half with their defense, holding CPC to nine points in each of the latter two quarters.

Tumwater is slated for another non-league game next, hosting Napavine next Tuesday.
