The Tumwater boys basketball team got off to a slow start in a defensive-minded game, but came out of the halftime break on fire, outscoring 4A Skyview by 19 in the second half to defeat the Storm, 58-38, Saturday night.
Luke Brewer led the way with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists, and Andrew Collins also scored in double figures with 17 points and seven boards. Despite being held off the score sheet, Luke Reid dished out five assists, and Ryan Otton tacked on three blocks to go along with four points.
The Thunderbirds (9-2, 6-0 2A EvCo) will look to keep the momentum rolling against Mark Morris at Lower Columbia Community College on Monday.
