A five-spot in the fourth was all the Tumwater softball team needed on Friday, as the Thunderbirds topped Aberdeen 5-0 to win their fifth game in a row.
Ella Ferguson allowed just two hits in a complete-game shutout, walking three and striking out 15.
Elizabeth McCartney got the T-Birds (7-1, 3-0 2A EvCo) on the board with an RBI single in the fourth, and Tumwater scored four more runs in the inning on a combination of wins and errors.
McCartney finished 2 for 3 at the plate with her RBI, and Marissa La Praim went 2 for 4. Erika Schock also registered multiple base hits, going 2 for 2.
Tumwater will host Rochester on April 9 in the first of a two-game league set.
