Tenino’s Ashley Schow Named Co-League MVP

Tenino junior standout Ashley Schow was named the 1A Evergreen Conference’s co-MVP along with Montesano junior Paige Lisherness as the conference announced its all-league teams Wednesday.

Schow led the Beavers to an 8-6 overall record, a second-place finish in the league and a district playoff appearance, where they lost to district runner-up King’s Way Christian

An all-around player, the 6-foot-1 forward averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, 2.5 steals and 2.5 assists per game.

Earning first-team honors for the Beavers were juniors Megan Letts and Alivia Hunter, while junior Grace Vestal was named to the second team.

Montesano’s Mark Mansfield was named Coach of the Year after guiding the 12-2 Bulldogs to a district championship victory.
