The Morton-White Pass softball team came alive in the final two innings against Winlock, scoring eight runs in the final two frames to overcome a three-run deficit and knock off the Cardinals 11-10 in a non-league matchup.
The game was tied at three through three, but Winlock took a 6-3 lead with a three-spot in the bottom of the fifth.
A four-spot in the top of the sixth gave the T-Wolves the lead back, but Winlock took it right back with two more in the bottom half to go up 8-7.
MWP put another four across in the seventh, though, and a putout at the plate and a strikeout prevented Winlock from scoring the tying run in the bottom half.
Bria Elkins got the win, pitching all seven innings while allowing seven hits and just two earned runs. She struck out 12 and walked seven.
Brooklyn Montoure went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and three runs batted in, and Lexi Moe went 2 for 2 with a triple. Izzy Loucks drove in a pair of her own while going 1 for 4.
Cali Geehan went 2 for 4 and drove in two for Winlock, and she also struck out seven in the circle.
Winlock (0-1) will be at home again on Monday for a non-league clash against Toutle Lake, while MWP (1-0) will host North Beach in Morton on Tuesday.
