The Tumwater boys basketball team only needed the services of its starters for three quarters Tuesday at Rochester, as the T-Birds blew the Warriors out 82-18 in a 2A EvCo matchup that featured a running clock for the entire second half.

Tumwater jumped out to a 24-4 lead in the first quarter, then shut its host out in a 19-0 second to go into halftime up 39 points. The Warriors managed a bit more on the offensive side of the ball in the second half, but still only totaled 14 points in the final 16 minutes.

Nine Thunderbirds got in on the scoring action. Luke Brewer led the way with a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double, going 8 for 13 from the field and adding four assists and three steals to his final stat line. Andrew Collins was even more efficient, finishing at a 78% clip to rack up 16 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and two assists. Brayden Oram and Clayton Morgan both ended up in double figures as well, with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Tumwater will come back home to host Aberdeen on Thursday, while Rochester will head to Centralia, for a rematch of its lone league win of the season.
