The Tumwater boys basketball team is one win away from a state tournament berth after defeating Hockinson 73-54 in a 2A District 4 elimination game on Tuesday.

The T-Birds and Hawks went back and forth over the first three quarters, but the Tumwater offense exploded in the fourth and helped the T-Birds pull away.

In that final quarter, Tumwater scored 28 points, including 12 from Bryce Morgan, who finished with a team-high 18 points.

Three other T-Birds also finished in double-figures, including Sahara Anthony III (15 points), Clay Morgan (14), and Nolan Campbell (10).

Tumwater will face W.F. West in Chehalis in a winner-to-state elimination game on Thursday at 7:45 p.m.
