Slew of Errors Prove Costly in MWP’s Win Over Winlock

\Winlock baseball committed 14 errors and Morton-White Pass capitalized by taking a 12-1 road victory over the Cardinals in Central 2B League play on Friday.

The Timberwolves tallied seven hits on the day, led by Carter Dantinne and Keaton Thompson both going 3 for 5 at the plate, with Thompson also driving in a run. 

Morton-White Pass plated runs in all but one inning and scored two or more runs in five of the seven innings. Bleu Aron earned the win for MWP on the mound.

Winlock’s offense, which managed just three hits, was led by Carter Svenson’s 2-for-3 performance at the plate. The Cardinals used a battery of senior duo Mekhi Morlin (pitcher) and Chris Heikkila (catcher).

Winlock continues league play when it heads to Cathlamet to face Wahkiakum in a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. on Monday.

Morton-White Pass heads to Stevenson for a 4 p.m. league tilt on Monday.
