Malicious Mischief

• A subject was cited at 9:30 a.m. on March 7 for allegedly drawing graffiti on a city-owned light pole in the 1100 block of View Avenue.

• At 1:55 p.m. on March 7, a caller in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue reported a vehicle had been keyed sometime within the last few days.

• The window of a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue was reported damaged just before 2:15 a.m. on March 9.

 

Theft

• Tools and electronic equipment were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1700 block of South Gold Street just after 10:20 a.m. on March 7.

• Several jewelry items were reported stolen from a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road at 3:25 p.m. on March 7.

• Merchandise was reported stolen from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 6:55 a.m. on March 8.

• Fraudulent charges on a credit card were reported in the 300 block of North Oak Street at 10:45 a.m. on March 8.

• Merchandise was reported stolen from a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road just after 1:50 p.m. on March 8.

  Merchandise was reported stolen from a business in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue at 4:35 p.m. on March 8.

 

Trespassing

• A subject was arrested in the 100 block of South Silver Street at approximately 10:15 a.m. on March 4 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing and on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant.

 

Assault

• Just before 4:45 p.m. on March 8, there was a report of assault against a juvenile inside a business in the 1200 block of Mellen Street. The case is under investigation. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning.

  A subject was arrested in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue just before 1:40 a.m. on March 9 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

DUI

• Nichol E. Mardini, 33, of Centralia, was arrested in the 300 block of North Iron Street just after 9:25 p.m. on March 8 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence and an alleged hit-and-run.

 

Vehicle Fire

• A vehicle fire reported in the 2800 block of Russell Road at 11:35 p.m. on March 8 is under investigation.

Assault

• Just after 10:05 a.m. on March 7, a caller in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue reported a client had assaulted a counselor by grabbing her and kissing her neck. No arrests were made.

• A subject was arrested in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just after 9:20 p.m. on March 7 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault after he allegedly “dumped water over” another person.

• A fourth-degree assault reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at noon on March 8 is under investigation. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning. 

• A first-degree assault reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 2:20 p.m. on March 8 is under investigation. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning. 

 

Disorderly Conduct

• Just after 8:55 p.m. on March 7, a caller in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard reported a disorderly man was “screaming and punching the building.” The man was trespassed from the location and no arrests were made.

• Just before 5:05 p.m. on March 8, a caller reported a man entered a store in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue, threw and broke items inside the store. No arrests were made.

 

Burglary

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 10:45 p.m. on March 7 is under investigation.

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 2100 block of North National Avenue just after 10:30 a.m. on March 8 is under investigation.

 

Vehicle Theft

• Just before 12:40 p.m. on March 8, a caller in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue reported their vehicle was stolen an hour prior.

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 12:50 p.m. on March 8. The caller reported she dropped her car keys and suspected someone else picked them up and took the vehicle. 

 

Hit-and-Run

• Just after 7:40 a.m. on March 8, a hit-and-run that occurred in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue within the last couple of days was reported.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Northeast Median Street and Northeast Kresky Avenue just after 11:20 a.m. on March 8.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 156 inmates, including 142 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 120 were reported male and 22 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
