CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Malicious mischief

• Damage to a mailbox in the 1200 block of Ham Hill road reported at approximately 4:25 p.m. on March 17 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• A wallet was reported stolen from the 100 block of North Gold Street at 8:35 p.m. on March 17.

 

Drug violation

• A 43-year-old Auburn man was cited for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue at approximately 8:40 p.m. on March 17.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal trespass

• Just before 10:45 a.m. on March 17, a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported a male subject was asleep in the pharmacy and a female subject had been in the bathroom for an extended amount of time. The subjects were moved along.

• A subject was moved along after a citizen reported seeing a fire under a bridge at the intersection of Southwest Riverside Drive and state Route 6 at 2:45 p.m. on March 17.

• A homeless man was reportedly seen walking up to vehicles on a sales lot in the 2500 block of North National Avenue just before 11:15 p.m. on March 18.

 

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 11 a.m. on March 27 is under investigation.

 

Vehicle accident

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 9:25 a.m. on March 18.

 

Scam

• A possible scam involving a woman sending money to someone who said they would deposit it into a Lewis County Jail inmate’s account was reported in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street just after 2:25 p.m. on March 17.

 

Theft

• A theft involving a fraudulent return was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 3:50 p.m. on March 17.

 



DUI

• A subject was arrested for a DUI at the intersection of Southwest William Avenue and Southwest Cascade Avenue just after 7:05 p.m. on March 17.

 

Dispute

• A possible physical dispute was reported in the 700 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue just after 7:05 p.m. on March 17. 

• A physical dispute was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle street just after 3:05 p.m. on March 18.

• A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 9:55 p.m. on March 18.

 

Disorderly conduct

• A man was cited for trespassing on a property in the 10 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue at 1:25 a.m. on March 18 after he reportedly banged on a car door, threw rocks, broke things and threatened to kill people on the property.

 

Suspicious circumstances

• Just after 6:25 a.m. on March 18, a man in the 800 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue reported “he jumped out the window and there’s five people in the house.”

• A man was reportedly pushing a shopping cart on the railroad tracks in the 500 block of West Main Street just before 6:05 p.m. on March 18.

• A citizen reported that a 1-year-old child had been left in a vehicle in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 6:45 p.m. on March 18. A woman returned to the vehicle while the reporting party was on the phone with police.

 

Found child

• A lost 6-year-old was found in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 4 p.m. on March 18.

 

FIRE AND EMS CALLS

• Between Monday morning and Wednesday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 39 illness-related calls, six injury-related calls, eight fire-related calls, eight non-emergency service calls, two vehicle accidents, two Lifeline medical alerts, one overdose, one medical helicopter request, one ambulance request and two other calls.

 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 138 inmates, including 128 in the general population and 10 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 101 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, eight were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 14 inmates, including six booked by the Centralia Police Department, one booked by the state Department of Corrections, two booked by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, one booked by the Lummi Nation, one booked by the Skokomish Tribe and one booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
