Sirens: Thefts; Vehicle Prowls; Assault

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Vehicle Prowl 

• A firearm was reported stolen from a residence in the 1400 block of Windsor Avenue at 1:55 p.m. on Sept. 22. 

• Just after 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 23, clothing was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2800 block of Russell Road sometime overnight. 

• Tools were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Ahlers Avenue just after 7 p.m. on Sept. 23. 

Other Theft 

• Two pairs of basketball shoes were reported stolen from a store in the 100 block of west High Street at 4:05 p.m. on Sept. 22. 

• Computer equipment was reported stolen from a trailer in the 100 block of West Oakview Avenue at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 22. 

• Food was reported stolen from a business in the 1000 block of Ellsbury Street just after 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 22. The suspect reportedly fled the scene and the incident is under investigation. 

Crashes 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 22. 

• A driver involved in a one-vehicle collision in the 900 block of East Locust Street just before 5:20 a.m. on Sept. 24 sustained minor injuries. 

Assault 

• Renee T. Cantrell, 59, of Centralia, was arrested in the 2800 block of Russell Road at 9:55 p.m. on Sept. 23 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 



• A subject was cited for third-degree theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 22. 

• A subject was trespassed from a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue shoplifting from the store. 

• A third-degree theft reported in the 700 block of South Market Boulevard just before 1:15 p.m. on Sept. 22 is under investigation. 

• An attempted theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. on Sept. 23. 

• A purse was reported stolen from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 23. 

• A subject who allegedly attempted to steal from a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 6:55 p.m. on Sept. 23 was trespassed from the business. 

• A second-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just before 7:10 p.m. on Sept. 23 is under investigation. 

Disturbance 

• Just after 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 23, there was a report of a group of teen males intimidating another male in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. No weapons were reported and no arrests were made. 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 300 block of West Main Street just after 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 23. 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS 

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 127 inmates, including 113 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 98 were reported male and 25 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
