Sirens: Suspect Assaults Worker, Tries to Bite Officer; Vehicle Thefts; Retail Theft

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• A case of fourth-degree assault that was reported in the 300 block of Northwest North Street just after noon on June 27 is under investigation.

 

Trespassing

• A woman was cited for trespassing at a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 3:45 p.m. on June 27.

• Two subjects were trespassed from a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 6:15 a.m. on June 28.

• A woman was trespassed from a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 7:25 a.m. on June 28.

 

Retail Theft

• A subject was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2 p.m. on June 28 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft after they allegedly stole a solar panel recharger system.

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 4:55 p.m. on June 28.

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 5 p.m. on June 28.

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 7:05 p.m. on June 28.

 

Vehicle Theft

• A vehicle theft that was reported in the 700 block of Northwest Arkansas Way just before 8:20 p.m. on June 27 is under investigation.

• A possible vehicle theft was reported at the intersection of Northeast Washington and Northeast Cascade avenues just after 6 p.m. on June 28.

• A vehicle theft that was reported in the 700 block of South Market Boulevard just after 6:55 a.m. on June 29 is under investigation.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A Centralia woman was arrested in the 100 block of West Main Street just after 10:50 p.m. on June 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree malicious mischief after she allegedly broke a store’s front window.

• Graffiti was reported on a wall in the 500 block of North Gold Street just before 8:25 p.m. on June 28.



Other Theft

• A possible license plate theft was reported in the 2600 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue at approximately 10:20 a.m. on June 28.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 1:55 p.m. on June 28.

 

Vehicle Accident

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of West Main Street and Northwest Liberty Place just before 3:45 p.m. on June 28.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• A Tacoma man was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at 1:10 p.m. on June 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree assault after he allegedly bit a hospital staff worker on the hand and then tried to bite a police officer.

 

Theft

• A white 2003 Ford F350 with the Washington plate number B38618L was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Johnson Road just after 8:55 a.m. on June 28.

• A purse was reported stolen from the 600 block of H Street at 2:55 p.m. on June 28.

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just before 12:35 a.m. on June 29 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft after he allegedly stole food items.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 147 inmates, including 129 in the general population and 18 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 103 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 16 were reported male and two were reported female.
