CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• A man was arrested in the 100 block of West High Street just before 2:10 p.m. on March 31 for alleged third-degree theft and use of drug paraphernalia and was released.

• Items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Centralia College Boulevard just after 5:30 p.m. on April 1. The incident is under investigation.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue was reported just before 2:30 p.m. on March 31.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 1500 block of Kresky Avenue was reported at approximately 4:35 p.m. on March 31.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Lowe Street was reported just after noon on April 1.

• A two-vehicle collision with injuries was reported in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 2:40 p.m. on April 1.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue was reported just after 9:05 p.m. on April 1.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Damage to a truck in the 1000 block of South Gold Street was reported just before 10:50 p.m. on April 1.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Refusing to Leave 

• Just after 6:05 p.m. on March 31, a caller in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported that a woman was refusing to leave and had potentially assaulted the caller.

• Just before 7:10 p.m. on March 31, a caller reported that a woman was parked outside their apartment in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street and was staring through back doors and stalking the man in the apartment. The caller reported that the woman had a concealed carry permit and had allegedly threatened to kill the man over text messages. No arrests were made.

 

Potential Assault

• At 10:25 p.m. on March 31, a caller reported an assault in the 200 block of Southwest Second Street involving alcohol. The reporting party requested Child Protective Services for a 1-year-old involved in the situation. No arrests were made.

 



Suspicious Circumstances

• Suspicious circumstances reported in the 1800 block of Southwest Snively Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. on April 1 are under investigation.

 

Theft and Burglary

• A man was arrested at approximately 9:50 a.m. on April 1 for allegedly shoplifting in the 1700 block of North National Avenue and was released.

• A burglary in the 1000 block of Northwest State Avenue reported at 11:15 a.m. on April 1 is under investigation.

• A billfold containing money and a driver’s license was reported stolen from the 500 block of South Market Avenue just before 11:40 a.m. on April 1.

• A burglary in the 2100 block of North National Avenue reported just after 4:45 p.m. on April 1 is under investigation.

• A man was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 4:55 p.m. on April 1 for alleged third-degree theft. He was released and trespassed from the business.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Northeast Washington Avenue at 5:40 p.m. on April 1.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 600 block of Southwest Parkland Drive was reported at 4:05 p.m. on April 1.

 

Animal Neglect

• Just before 5:45 p.m. on April 1, a caller reported finding a box of five to six sick, emaciated kittens in the 600 block of Northwest State Avenue.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 126 inmates, including 105 in the general population and 21 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 86 were reported male and 19 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 15 were reported male and six were reported female.
