Sirens: Power Tools Stolen; Man Kicks Vehicle; Burglar Eats Food, Sleeps on Couch

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• Medications were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of South Diamond Street at 8 a.m. on Jan. 26.

• At 1:55 p.m. on Jan. 26, a vehicle was reported stolen from the 1500 block of View Avenue sometime overnight.

• Commercial power tools were reported stolen from a job site in the 400 block of East Summa Street just before 3:35 p.m. on Jan. 26.

• A Shelton man was arrested in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 2:05 p.m. on Jan. 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly stealing items from a business and “using devices to defeat the security features.”

 

Malicious Mischief

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 300 block of Harrison Avenue just after 4:35 p.m. on Jan. 26 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly walked into the roadway and kicked a vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle’s door.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 26 is under investigation.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just after 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 27 is under investigation.

• A first-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 1 p.m. on Jan. 27 is under investigation.

• Just before 4 p.m. on Jan. 27, packages valuing $300 were reported stolen from the 600 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue.

• At approximately 4:20 p.m. on Jan. 27, a package was reported stolen from the 1800 block of Southwest Fair Avenue.

• A third-degree theft was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 27.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 7:55 p.m. on Jan. 27 is under investigation.

 



Crash

• A vehicle accident was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 26.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A case of third-degree malicious mischief reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue at approximately 6:50 a.m. on Jan. 27 is under investigation.

 

 

Indecent Exposure

• A subject was cited for indecent exposure in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just after 3:20 p.m. on Jan. 27 after he allegedly “whipped out his penis and started waving it” at a female staff member.

 

Burglary

• A subject was arrested in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just before 8:55 a.m. on Jan. 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary after he allegedly entered a stranger’s house the night before, slept on the couch and ate some of their food.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 158 inmates, including 145 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 119 were reported male and 26 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
