Man Strikes Woman With Vehicle

• Just after 10:05 p.m. on July 13, a caller reported a male and female were involved in a physical dispute inside of a red pickup truck in the 100 block of Interstate Avenue. The male reportedly pushed the female out of the vehicle and struck her with the vehicle when driving away from the scene. The victim was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Police were unable to identify and locate the assailant. The case is still under investigation.

 

Burglary and Theft

• A second-degree theft reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street at approximately 9:55 a.m. on July 12 is under investigation.

• Tanner D. Jacobson, 25, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 4:10 p.m. on July 12 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and retail theft.

• Jimmie C. Gertson, 67, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 8:40 a.m. on July 13 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged theft of rental property.

• A vehicle theft reported in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 9:10 a.m. on July 13 is under investigation.

• Jason R. Dunham, 37, of Ethel, was arrested in the 100 block of Northeast Coal Street just after 10:05 a.m. on July 13 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree residential burglary.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 500 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way was reported at 4:20 p.m. on July 12.

• A collision reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 7:50 p.m. on July 13 is under investigation.

 

Harassment

• A case of harassment reported in the 2100 block of Southwest Olympic Drive at 11:20 a.m. on July 13 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault



• A subject was cited for alleged fourth-degree assault in the 3500 block of Steelhammer Drive at 1:55 p.m. on July 12.

 

Theft

• A backpack blower was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Kulien Avenue at 2:55 p.m. on July 12.

• Merchandise was reported stolen from the 100 block of West Maple Street just after 3:05 p.m. on July 12.

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 300 block of North Oak Street just after 7:40 a.m. on July 13.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of H Street just after 11:15 a.m. on July 13.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 1300 block of Kayu Lane just after 7:20 p.m. on July 13.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was cited for allegedly trespassing in the 800 block of South Gold Street at 6:30 p.m. on July 12.

 

Lewis County Jail

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 138 inmates, including 104 in the general population and 34 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 92 were reported male and 12 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 30 were reported male and four were reported female.
