CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Burglary

• Food, dog food and small electronics were reported stolen from a house in the 1100 block of Borthwick Street just after 9:40 a.m. on May 31.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• Gasoline was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1700 block of South Gold Street just after 10:40 a.m. on June 1.

• Property was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2800 block of Russell Road at approximately 3:35 p.m. on June 1.

 

Shoplifting

• Shoplifting was reported in the 1300 block of Gold Street at approximately 2:10 p.m. on May 31.

• A possible shoplift from a business in the 1400 block of Lum Road reported just before 6:15 p.m. on June 1 is under investigation.

 

Vehicle Theft

• A 2006 Scion was reported stolen from the 100 block of South Barner Drive just after 3:05 p.m. on May 31.

• A 1997 Honda Civic was reported stolen from the 100 block of Jalyn Street at 5:15 a.m. on June 2.

 

Assault

• Just before 8:30 p.m. on May 31, in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street, Scott M. Hortman, 39, of Toledo, was arrested for alleged violation of a court order and Karissa R. L. Trueax-Hortman, 30, of Aberdeen, was arrested for alleged fourth-degree assault. Both were booked into the Lewis County Jail.

 

Identity Theft

• Suspicious bank activity and possible identity theft were reported in the 1200 block of Alder Street at 10:45 a.m. on June 1.

• Suspicious bank activity and possible identity theft were reported in the 500 block of East Magnolia Street just after 11:45 a.m. on June 1.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Just after 4:30 a.m. on June 2, a caller reported that a radiator hose in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue had been cut.

 

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Malicious Mischief

• A first-degree malicious mischief reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street reported at 10:30 a.m. on May 28 is under investigation.

A broken window in the 100 block of Northwest Prindle Street was reported just before 10:40 a.m. on May 30.

• A third-degree malicious mischief reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at 12:10 p.m. on June 1 is under investigation.

• A third-degree malicious mischief reported in the 100 block of North Market Boulevard just after 4:11 p.m. on June 1 is under investigation.

 



Theft and Burglary

• A burglary was reported in the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just before noon on May 28.

• At 9:40 a.m. on May 29, a skateboard was reported stolen from the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street sometime the day before.

• A second-degree theft reported in the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 1:50 p.m. on May 29 is under investigation.

• A theft reported in the 2100 block of North National Avenue just after 4 p.m. on May 29 is under investigation.

• At approximately 6:15 p.m. on May 29, a caller reported that a subject was using a knife to cut a headset off of a shelf inside a store in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made.

• A second-degree theft reported in the 1000 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at 12:10 p.m. is under investigation.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5 p.m. on June 1 is under investigation.

 

Other Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard was reported just after 12:35 p.m. on May 30.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 1600 block of Louisiana Avenue was reported just before 5 p.m. on June 1.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported just before 5:30 p.m. on June 1.

• A collision in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported just before 6 p.m. on June 1. 

 

Assault

• James W. Davis, 45, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1000 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue at 8:45 a.m. on June 1 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault.

 

Fraud

• A case of “non-specific fraud” reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported just before 7:55 p.m. on May 29 is under investigation.

 

Hit-and-Run DUI

• Kelli M. Faust, 27, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 300 block of Northwest North Street at approximately 12:15 a.m. on June 1 for allegedly driving under the influence and for an alleged hit-and-run.

 

Motorcycle Crashes

• A motorcycle rider was transferred to a local hospital with a possible broken arm after the vehicle crashed in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at 3:50 p.m. on May 28.

• A motorcycle rider suffered injuries due to road rash after the vehicle wrecked in the 1100 block of North National Avenue just before 3:25 p.m. on May 31.

 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 153 inmates, including 119 in the general population and 34 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 95 were reported male and 24 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 31 were reported male and 3 were reported female.
