CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Disputes
• A physical dispute was reported in the 2100 block of Southwest Woodland Circle at approximately 10:10 a.m. on March 5.
• A dispute involving one party possibly blocking the other party in a room in the 100 block of Southwest William Avenue was reported at 10:15 a.m. on March 5.
• A verbal dispute was reported in the 700 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just before 9:55 p.m. on March 5.
Unlawful display of weapon
• A subject in a vehicle reportedly pointed a pistol at someone in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way at approximately 10:10 a.m. on March 5.
Custodial assault
• A custodial assault reported at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street just before 11:05 a.m. on March 5 is under investigation.
Disorderly conduct
• A homeless man was reportedly throwing stuff onto southbound Interstate 5 from the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way just after 12:35 p.m. on March 5.
Suspicious circumstances
• A subject was possibly prowling houses in the 600 block of Northwest Prindle Street just before 2:40 p.m. on March 5.
• A man was reportedly threatening to beat up his neighbor’s kids in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just before 2:40 p.m. on March 5.
• At 5:15 p.m. on Match 5, a therapist in the 100 block of North Market Boulevard reported her client was threatening to kill people.
• A man was reportedly looking into vehicles in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 12 a.m. on March 6.
Criminal trespass
• Two subjects wearing “homeless clothes” were reportedly setting up camp on the corner of Southwest State Avenue and Northwest West Street just after 4:20 p.m. on March 5.
Drug violation
• A subject was arrested on a warrant for a drug violation in the 100 block of Southwest Sixth Street at 6:05 p.m. on March 5.
Theft
• A subject was cited for stealing $100 off of his parent’s EBT card in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at 7 p.m. on March 5.
• A third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 9:15 p.m. on March 5 is under investigation.
• A theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 10:05 p.m. on March 5 is under investigation.
• A theft reported in the 500 block of Northwest Pacific Avenue at approximately 5:10 a.m. on March 6 is under investigation.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Theft
• A third-degree theft reported at a store in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 5 p.m. on March 5 is under investigation.
Criminal trespass
• A homeless man was trespassed from a business in the 100 block of South Silver Street just after 5:30 p.m. on March 5 for “yelling at the walls in the bathroom” and refusing to leave when asked, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A homeless man was trespassed from a business in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue just before 9 p.m. on March 5 for being disorderly, yelling at customers, talking to himself and refusing to leave when asked.
• A homeless woman accused of trying to steal a shopping cart from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 12:45 p.m. on March 6 was trespassed from the business.
• A homeless man was trespassed from a business in the 100 block of North Gold Street at 1:10 p.m. on March 7 for “being aggressive and threatening” towards staff.
DUI
• A 62-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for DUI at the intersection of East Summa Street and South Gold Street just after 2:45 a.m. on March 6.
Assault
• Two juveniles were referred on fourth-degree assault charges for allegedly assaulting another juvenile in the 900 block of Johnson Road at approximately 1 p.m. on March 6.
LEWIS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT
Chargings
• Stephanie Randall, 39, of Yelm, was charged March 5 with one count of first-degree malicious mischief for allegedly using a tire iron to break the windows of a Chehalis residence she was recently evicted from on Feb. 18. Bail was set at $2,500, which she posted on March 6. Arraignment is scheduled for March 13.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 49 illness-related calls, eight injury-related calls, five fire-related calls, six non-emergency service calls, one vehicle accident, four Lifeline medical alerts and four other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 159 inmates, including 147 in the general population and 12 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 109 were reported male and 38 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 10 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 27 inmates, including 11 booked by the Centralia Police Department, eight booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by the Tulalip Tribe, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement, one booked by the Skokomish Tribe, two booked by the Lummi Nation and two booked by the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs.
