Sirens: Gun Pointed at Vehicle ; Robbery and Assault; DUI Arrest

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Robbery

• Jarrin A.M. Smalley, 29, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1600 block of South Gold Street just after 11:40 a.m. on Oct. 1 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly stealing an amplifier from a business and then hitting an employee with his car as he fled the scene. The employee sustained minor injuries.

 

Theft

• Items were reported stolen from an outlet store in the 1300 block of Lum Road just after 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 1.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from the 900 block of North Pearl Street just after 4:50 a.m. on Oct. 2.

• A black Prius was reported stolen from the 2800 block of Borst Avenue just before 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 2.

• A catalytic converter theft that occurred sometime within the past month in the 500 block of South Oak Street was reported just after 9:40 a.m. on Oct. 2.

• Three subjects were referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office at 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 2 for alleged second-degree theft in the 1400 block of Lum Road.

• A winch and a light bar were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of North Ash Street just after 6:20 p.m. on Oct. 2.

• A subject was cited for allegedly stealing from the 400 block of West Main Street just after 11:20 a.m. on Oct. 3 and then running from police when told to stop.

• Two pairs of shoes were reported stolen from a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road at 11:25 a.m. on Oct. 3.

 

Assault

• Officers responded to a dispute in the 1500 block of North Scheuber Road at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Oct. 1 where a male subject allegedly choked a female victim and fled before police arrived.

• A subject was cited for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 400 block of South Gold Street just before 8:10 p.m. on Oct. 3.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A subject was cited for allegedly causing a three-vehicle collision in the 500 block of West Main Street just after 10:05 p.m. on Oct. 1 and fleeing the scene.

• A hit-and-run was reported at the intersection of East Fourth Street and North Tower Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.

 

Crash

• A subject was criminally cited following a collision in the 800 block of West First Street at approximately 4:35 a.m. on Oct. 2.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A broken side window at a business in the 1100 block of Belmont Avenue was reported just after 7:50 a.m. on Oct. 2.

• Damage to a vehicle in the 500 block of Yew Street was reported just after 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 2.

 

DUI

• Aaron K. Lofgren, 23, of Onalaska, was arrested in the 900 block of North Pearl Street just after 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence after he was involved in an accident.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was arrested in the 1200 block of Mellen Street just before 7:10 a.m. on Oct. 3 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing.

 

Identity Theft

• A subject was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 11:10 p.m. on Oct. 3 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly providing the ID of another person “in attempt to conceal her true identity,” according to the police report.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of North National Avenue and Northeast Meridian Street just after 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 1.

• A subject was criminally cited following a non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 300 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue just after 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 1.



• A potential pedestrian versus vehicle collision was reported in the 400 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue just after 11:10 p.m. on Oct. 2. Medics reported there was no evidence the pedestrian was struck by a car. The pedestrian requested an ambulance.

 

Vehicle Theft

• At 8:20 a.m. on Oct. 2, a vehicle was reported stolen from the 300 block of Southeast Valley View Way sometime overnight.

Just before 8:35 a.m. on Oct. 2, a vehicle was reported stolen from the 100 block of Southeast Westside Drive sometime overnight.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• Just before 6:20 a.m. on Oct. 2, there was a report of a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 300 block of Southeast Hillsdale Lane around 1 a.m. that morning.

• Two vehicle prowls were reported in the 300 block of Southeast Valley View Way just after 8:40 a.m. on Oct. 2.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 100 block of Southeast Westside Drive just after 8:40 a.m. on Oct. 2.

• At 10:25 a.m. on Oct. 2, a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place sometime overnight was reported.

• Just after 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 2, a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 200 block of Southeast Valley View Way sometime overnight was reported.

 

Other Theft

• A third-degree theft reported in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street just after 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 1 is under investigation.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just before 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 1 is under investigation.

• A firearm was reported stolen from the 100 block of West Main Street just before 2:55 p.m. on Oct. 2.

• A chainsaw and an ax were reported stolen from a business in the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just before 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 2.

• A bathroom mirror was reported stolen from the 500 block of Southwest Parkland Drive just after 3:10 p.m. on Oct. 3.

 

Gun Pointed at Vehicle 

• Just after 6:40 p.m. on Oct. 1, a male subject reportedly threw a beer can at a car driving through the intersection of Southwest Snively Avenue and Southwest 19th Street and threatened the female driver with a gun. Another driver reportedly exited his vehicle and physically subdued the subject. No arrests were made.

 

Counterfeiting

• A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at a business in the 500 block of Northwest West Street just before 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 2.

 

Hit-and-Run

• At 2:20 p.m. on Oct. 2, a hit-and-run that occurred in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard sometime after 6 p.m. the day before was reported.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A case of third-degree malicious mischief was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue just after 5:45 a.m. on Oct. 3.

 

Death Investigation

• A natural death reported in the 600 block of Northwest Gertrude Street just before 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 3 is under investigation.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 133 inmates, including 115 in the general population and 18 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 100 were reported male and 15 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
