Sirens: DUI Arrest; Package Theft; Man Arrested on Murder Warrant

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Retail Theft

• A Pe Ell woman was cited for shoplifting in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 4:35 p.m. on May 4.

• An Oakville woman was cited for shoplifting in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 5:35 p.m. on May 4.

• Police are actively searching for a man suspected of shoplifting from the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 7:20 p.m. on May 4.

• Officers were dispatched just after 7:35 p.m. on May 5 regarding a suspected theft that occurred at a grocery store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.  Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Interstate 5. The three occupants initially gave false names but officers eventuallu learned their true identities. The driver, Jesse R. Henry, 30, of Tacoma, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Tacoma for first-degree murder.  He was transported to Pierce County and was released to detectives.

 

Package Theft

• Several packages were reported stolen off of the porch of a residence in the 3000 block of Russell Road just after 12:05 p.m. on May 4.

• At 4:35 a.m. on May 6, a caller in the 800 block of North Pearl Street reported their Ring camera had caught an approximately 50-year-old man in a “black Fox hooded sweatshirt” stealing a package.

Vehicle Theft

• At approximately 10:30 a.m. on May 5, a blue 2018 Volkswagen Passat was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue sometime overnight.

• An Olympia woman was referred to the prosecutor’s office for possible vehicle theft charges after allegedly stealing an acquaintance's car in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue just after noon on May 5.

 

Other Theft

• A license plate was reported stolen off of a vehicle in the 1100 block of Johnson Road at 11:30 p.m. on May 4.

• Money was reported stolen out of a wallet in the 900 block of Woodland Avenue at 9:55 p.m. on May 5.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run that caused minor damage to a vehicle was reported at the intersection of West Main and South Iron streets at approximately 4 p.m. on May 4.

 

DUI

• Noe Dominguez-Sandoval, 38, of Centralia, was arrested in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue just after 1:40 a.m. on May 6 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Alder and Mellen streets just after 3:25 p.m. on May 5.



• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue just after 5:25 p.m. on May 5.

 

 

Trespassing

• A woman was trespassed from a health care facility in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just before 12:30 a.m. on May 5 for allegedly harassing other clients. She was later trespassed from a local shelter for allegedly disturbing other clients and not following the rules.

A Tacoma woman was cited for trespassing in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at 6:50 a.m. on May 6.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• A purse was reported stolen out of a shopping cart in a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 1:40 p.m. on May 4.

• A case of shoplifting was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard at 4:50 p.m. on May 4.

• Just after 6:45 p.m. on May 4, a catalytic converter was reported stolen from the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place sometime overnight.

• At 1:40 p.m. on May 5, a chainsaw was reported stolen from the back of a pickup truck in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue sometime overnight.

 

Crash

• A non-injury vehicle accident involving a city-owned vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Northwest State Avenue at 2:05 p.m. on May 4.

 

Suspicious Vehicle 

• Just after 6:50 p.m. on May 4, a caller at the intersection of Southwest Cascade Avenue and Southwest Second Street reported a man in a truck was trying to run over a pedestrian. No arrests were made.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 146 inmates, including 125 in the general population and 21 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 105 were reported male and 20 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 19 were reported male and two were reported female.
