Sirens: Dog in Distress; Machete, Disabled Parking Placard Stolen; Robbery Threat

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Dog In Car

• At approximately 1:50 p.m. on July 23, a caller reported a dog appeared to be in distress and was locked in a vehicle in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 2:30 p.m. on July 23.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported on the northbound Interstate 5 on-ramp at Southwest Parkland Drive at 3:55 p.m. on July 23.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported at the intersection of Northwest State Avenue and Northwest West Street just before 2:45 p.m. on July 25.

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 10:30 a.m. on July 26.

• A subject was cited for a hit-and-run in the 2500 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just before 4 p.m. on July 26.

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way just before 5:25 p.m. on July 26.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Terrace Road at 5:45 a.m. on July 26.

• A machete, a disabled parking placard and other items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 10 block of Northeast Boistfort Street at 10:20 a.m. on July 26.

• Items were reported stolen out of the back of a truck in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place just before 11:15 a.m. on July 26.

• A vehicle prowl reported in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place just after 11:45 a.m. on July 26 is under investigation.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 1400 block of Southwest Mills Avenue just after 6:15 p.m. on July 26.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A criminal trespass was reported in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard just after 1:40 p.m. on July 23.

• A criminal trespass was reported in the 400 block of Southwest Parkland Drive at approximately 2:20 a.m. on July 24.

 

Theft

• Just before 10:30 a.m. on July 24, a caller reported someone had possibly tried to steal the exhaust from his vehicle in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue sometime the night before.

• Items were reported stolen from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. on July 25.

• A second-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 11:55 p.m. on July 26 is under investigation.



 

Threatened Robbery

• At approximately 11:15 p.m. on July 24, a caller reported a subject had approached a store employee in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and told the employee the place was going to be robbed. The business closed and locked up in response. The store was not robbed and no arrests were made.

Malicious Mischief

• A case of first-degree malicious mischief reported in the 500 block of Northwest Quincy Place just before 7 p.m. on July 25 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• Items were reported stolen from the 1300 block of Central Boulevard at 10:35 p.m. on July 26.

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 2800 block of Russell Road at noon on July 26.

Clothing was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Lum Road just before 2:55 p.m. on July 26.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue at 12:35 p.m. on July 26.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of South Gold Street just before 1:40 p.m. on July 26.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was cited for trespassing in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 6:20 p.m. on July 26.

• Kevin G. Blosser, 40, of Centralia, was arrested in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. on July 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on an outstanding warrant and for alleged trespassing.

 

Assault

• Angela C. Soper, 44, of Centralia, was arrested at approximately 9:40 p.m. on July 26 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 136 inmates, including 118 in the general population and 18 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 99 were reported male and 19 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
