Vehicle accident
• A vehicle vs. pedestrian collision was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way just before 7:45 a.m. on May 8. The pedestrian was reportedly not bleeding but “in a lot of pain” when the incident was reported to the Chehalis Police Department.
Criminal trespass
• A 28-year-old man was arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest after he reportedly trespassed on property in the 600 block of North National Avenue while carrying a knife just after 11:40 a.m. on May 8.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Assault
• A juvenile was referred on fourth-degree assault charges for allegedly assaulting another juvenile in the 900 block of Johnson Road just after 7:45 a.m. on May 7.
• A 52-year-old Chehalis man was arrested for assaulting a security guard in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at 1:55 a.m. on May 9.
Theft
• Video games were reported stolen from the 1000 block of North Tower Avenue just after 12:25 p.m. on May 7. Charges have been referred to the Centralia city prosecutor.
• A 61-year-old Centralia man and a 50-year-old Centralia woman were arrested for stealing $100 to $200 worth of vehicle parts from a business in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just before 6:45 p.m. on May 7.
• A flower basket and a wood carving were reported stolen from the 2400 block of Fords Prairie Avenue just after 10:55 a.m. on May 8. The case is under investigation.
Malicious mischief
• Just after 9:20 p.m. on May 7, there was a report that vehicle tires were slashed in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue. The case is under investigation.

Green Hill chargings
• Miguel David Thorne, 18, was charged May 5 in Lewis County Superior Court with one count of custodial assault for allegedly striking a staff member while he was being escorted to his room at Green Hill School on March 3. Arraignment is scheduled for May 15.
• Roberto Paniagua, 18, was charged May 5 in Lewis County Superior Court with one count of weapons possession by a prisoner for allegedly having a metal shank in his room at Green Hill School when staff searched his room on Feb. 4. Arraignment is scheduled for May 15.
Sentencings
• Juan Manuel Lopez Abrego, 25, pleaded guilty May 7 to one count of second-degree theft and was sentenced to 55 days in jail with credit for 55 days served. He was not in custody at the Lewis County Jail as of Friday afternoon.
• Don Michael Day, 35, pleaded guilty May 7 to one count each of second-degree attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and third-degree malicious mischief. He was sentenced to 40 months in a prison-based drug offender sentencing alternative program.
Change of plea
• Kirstin A. Crary, 34, pleaded guilty May 7 to two counts of forgery and one count of third-degree theft. Sentencing is scheduled for June 25.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 35 illness-related calls, 14 injury-related calls, five fire-related calls, six non-emergency service calls, one vehicle accident, two suicide-related calls, one overdose, one 911-hangup call and four other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 154 inmates, including 141 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 112 were reported male and 29 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Friday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 21 inmates, including five booked by the Centralia Police Department, nine booked by the state Department of Corrections, three booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, one booked by the City of Napavine, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement and one booked by the Skokomish Tribe.
