CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Theft
• Wire was reported stolen from a construction site in the 500 block of Salzer Creek Drive just before 9:55 a.m. on April 9.
• Tools were reported stolen from a construction site in the 1600 block of Salzer Creek Drive just before 11:05 p.m. on April 9.
Vehicle accidents
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1000 block of South Yew Street just before 10:45 p.m. on April 9.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue at 3:20 p.m. on April 9.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 600 block of West Pear Street just after 11:50 p.m. on April 9.
Criminal trespass
• A 44-year-old Centralia man was arrested for trespassing at a business in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard at approximately 3 a.m. on April 10.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Criminal trespass
• A trespass reported at the intersection of Southwest Hillburger Road and Southwest Sylvenus Street just after 3:50 p.m. on April 9 is under investigation.
• A man reportedly trespassed at a store in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard just after 5 p.m. on April 9. A store employee reported that the man “tries on clothes and ‘does bad things’ with the clothes,” according to the Chehalis Police Department.
Suspicious circumstances
• At 6:50 p.m. on April 9, a man reported he was walking in the 2100 block of North National Avenue when a car passed him while honking. A man inside the car was reportedly shouting “let go of the steering wheel.”
• A man in a red poncho was reportedly looking into the windows of a building in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue at approximately 2:05 a.m. on April 11. The man left the area on foot when police arrived.
Disorderly conduct
• A man was reportedly “walking back and forth yelling obscenities” in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way just after 6:50 p.m. on April 9.
• A disorderly subject reportedly asked someone for directions and then yelled at them in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard just after 11:30 a.m. on April 10.
Lewd conduct
• A man was reportedly seen masturbating inside a vehicle in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 2:50 p.m. on April 10.
Harassment
• Just after 9 a.m. on April 10, a woman in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue reported ongoing harassment from “subjects had (her) cats” and were “trying to force (her) to move.”
• Just after 8 p.m. on April 10, a woman in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue reported ongoing harassment involving someone “threatening to inject (her) with various drugs.”
Green Hill School
• A custodial assault that occurred at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street on March 15 was reported just after 11:50 a.m. on April 10.
Vehicle accident
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and Northwest Arkansas Way at approximately 12:20 p.m. on April 10.
Theft
• Two women were cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 1:25 p.m. on April 10.
• A second-degree theft reported in the 500 block of Northwest West Street at approximately 3:25 p.m. on April 10 is under investigation.
• A theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 5:35 p.m. on April 10 is under investigation.
Fraud
• A possible scam involving a woman trying to transfer funds from a business account was reported in the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 3:30 p.m. on April 10.
Malicious mischief
• A subject was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief after someone reported hearing people yelling and a dog “going nuts” at a residence near the intersection of Northwest 16th Street and Southwest Gails Avenue just before 7:15 p.m. on April 10.

Sentencings
• Isaac Lane West, 46, pleaded guilty Wednesday, April 9, to two counts of attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle entered an Alford plea to one count of third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer. An Alford plea allows a defendant to take advantage of a plea deal without admitting guilt. He was sentenced to six months in jail with credit for 31 days served. West, who posted bail Jan. 22, is required to report to the Lewis County Jail by 7 p.m. on April 16 to serve out the remainder of his jail sentence. His other Lewis County Superior Court case was dismissed.
• Gabriel Adam Smith, 24, of Centralia, pleaded guilty Wednesday, April 9, to one count each of vehicular assault and reckless driving and two counts of hit-and-run. He was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison.
• Jess Keawe Galiher, 41, pleaded guilty Wednesday, April 9, to one count each of harassment and attempting to elude a police vehicle. He was released from the Lewis County Jail after he was sentenced to 51 days in jail with credit for 51 days served.
• Cyrus Markstrom, 19, of Centralia, pleaded guilty Wednesday, April 9, to two counts of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 14 months in prison. As part of his sentence, Markstrom is required to undergo an anger management evaluation and complete all recommended treatment. No-contact orders protecting the victim for 10 years are in place.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 32 illness-related calls, 14 injury-related calls, seven fire-related calls, one Lifeline medical alert, five non-emergency service calls, one medical helicopter request and one other call.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 133 inmates, including 120 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 100 were reported male and 20 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Friday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 18 inmates, including eight booked by the Centralia Police Department, six booked by the state Department of Corrections, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, one booked by the Quileute Tribe, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court and one booked by the Lummi Nation.
