Sirens: Broken Business Windows; 'Highly Intoxicated' Man Causes Disturbance; DUI Arrests

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Disorderly Conduct

• An Idaho resident was arrested just after 10:10 a.m. on Sept. 23 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance at a health care facility in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road.

 

Theft

• Clothing was reported stolen from an outlet store in the 1400 block of Lum Road just after 2:25 p.m. on Sept. 23.

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 300 block of North Railroad Avenue at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Sept. 23.

• A pair of boots was reported stolen from a business in the 1500 block of Lum Road just after 2:25 p.m. on Sept. 24.

• Just after 7:35 p.m. on Sept. 24, a caller reported a man partially consumed a Slurpee inside a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue without paying for it. No arrests were made.

• A suspect reportedly attempted to steal a sweater from the 1300 block of Lum Road just after 2:10 p.m. on Sept. 25.

• A possible theft was reported in the 1400 block of Lum Road just after 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 25.

 

Broken Windows

• Just before 6:35 a.m. on Sept. 24, a caller reported a large window to a business in the 200 block of South Pearl Street was broken sometime overnight. At 7:15 a.m., a separate caller reported a large window to a different business in the 1000 block of West Main Street was broken sometime overnight. Officers believe the two incidents to be related. No suspects have been identified and the case is under investigation.

 

Trespassing



• A man who reportedly refused to leave a property in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road was trespassed from the property at 11:25 a.m. on Sept. 24.

• A man was trespassed from a business in the 500 block of North Tower Avenue just after 4 p.m. on Sept. 24.

• A “highly intoxicated male” reportedly caused a “disturbance” by attempting to enter another resident’s trailer in the 3200 block of Galvin Road by mistake just before 11:40 p.m. on Sept. 24. The male was trespassed from the property.

 

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison and Belmont avenues just after 6:35 p.m. on Sept. 24.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Mellen Street and Marsh Avenue just after 6:10 a.m. on Sept. 26.

 

DUI

• Justin A. Ames, 38, of Centralia, was arrested in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue just after 2:25 a.m. on Sept. 25 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence, physical control.

• Daniel C. Cruz, 33, of Centralia, was arrested at the intersection of Reynolds Avenue and North Pearl Street just after 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 187 inmates, including 174 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 147 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and one was reported female.
