Detectives from the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information regarding the murder and indentity of an unidentified man, whose body was found Friday, Sept. 24 on the 2200 block of Reservation Road Southeast.

A local citizen found the body about 25 feet off the roadway in a “severely” decomposed state at about 4 p.m. that day, according to a news release.

“It was determined that the body was of a lighter skinned male, with longer brown hair, with some facial hair,” the release stated.

Of slender build, the victim’s height is believed to be between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches.

Clothing found on or near the body included a pair of red Polo Ralph Lauren Boxer Briefs and a pair of Adidas Yeezy Boost SPLY 350, colored black and pink in size 12.

The victim had two root canals and silver fillings, stated the release the sheriff’s office sent out in an effort to elicit information about the case. The memo also stated that the victim was between 20 and 40 years old.

Thurston County sheriff’s detectives responded and processed the scene on Sept. 24 and released the body to the Thurston County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy, which was completed on Monday, Sept. 27. However, an initial cause of death could not be determined at that time, the release stated.

After a series of additional examinations, it was determined on Wednesday, Oct. 6 that the victim had been stabbed several times, leading the sheriff’s office to begin investigating the case as a homicide, stated the release.
