Seventh-Inning Collapse Hands Loggers Loss to Bulldogs

Leading 4-2 entering the top of the seventh, Onalaska surrendered four runs to visiting Stevenson as the Loggers took a 6-4 defeat in Central 2B League play on Friday.

The Loggers were led 2-0 through five innings before the Bulldogs tied it up in the top of the sixth. But Ony answered back with two runs of its own in the bottom of the sixth before Stevenson took the lead for good with four runs in the seventh to seal the win.

The Loggers tallied just two hits, one from Ethan Cameron (1 for 3) and another from Case McGraw (1 for 3). Domanic Serl and Rylan McGraw each drove in runs, while Cameron, Serl, Ayden Haag and Jeremy Larson all scored runs.

Larson started the game on the mound, tossing four scoreless innings with one hit, three strikeouts and no walks. Lethon Fitch tossed the final three innings, allowing six runs with five strikeouts and seven hits.

Stevenson starter Max Jenkins went six innings, striking out five and allowing four earned runs on five walks and one hit.

Onalaska will look to get back on track when it heads to Toutle Lake for a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
