On Monday, March 10, Centralia motorists will have to find a detour as a section of Alder Street will be closed while Centralia City Light workers complete utility improvements, according to a news release from the city.
“This project includes the removal of existing overhead power lines, and other related work,” the release stated.
In order to finish the utility improvement work quickly and safely, Alder Street will be closed on Monday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from its intersection with Mellen Street to its intersection with South Yew Street.
City workers will coordinate with residents and businesses in the area to try to minimize impacts while the work is carried out, according to the release.
“Thank you for your patience and please use an alternate route around the work area,” the release added.
