Pack running has been the strength of the Morton-White Pass boys cross country team this fall, but Hunter Brackett separated and turned in a third place finish in 17 minutes, 4.10 seconds at Saturday’s Apple Ridge Run Invite. It was a three-mile course instead of the traditional 3.1 miles.
The Timberwolves tallied 80 points to finish behind champ Cle Elum-Roslyn (51) and Royal (79). Vanson Armstrong placed 11th in 17:49.60 while Noah Gilstrap (17th) and Aiden Kampa (18th) finished three seconds apart. Jevan Austin rounded out MWP’s scoring five, crossing the line in 49th.
On the girls side, Gemma Jakubowski placed 22nd in 26:59.10 for the Timberwolves.
